Spring is a unique programme that offers an alternative to traditional therapy for young adults struggling with their lives and in need of a new beginning. A space in the heart of London where individuals can come together with others facing similar challenges and begin working on redefining their relationship with themselves and others.

A BACKGROUND OF CLINICAL EXCELLENCE

Spring was created in 2024 by The Blue Door Practice — one of London’s leading mental health institutions.

Drawing from Blue Door’s extensive network of leading therapeutic practitioners, our vision is to give young adults access to a well-rounded team of clinical excellence, who can offer direction as they work on their relational, emotional and practical challenges. Each of our chosen practitioners are committed to empowering young individuals to gain independence and begin to reach their full potential.

Meet the Clinical Team

RELATIONAL APPROACH

Our 8-week programme focuses on the interactions and relationships between individuals and explores how these dynamics can influence emotional well-being and personal development. Built as a “relational” programme underpinned by relational theory, young adults can expect a combination of group sessions, one-on-one therapy, systemic relational work in addition to a curated programme of thought-provoking experiences and workshops. Our comprehensive method is designed to equip individuals with foundational tools — practical, emotional and social — empowering them to reconnect with themselves and kickstart the lives they aspire to lead.

CURATED SUPPORT

We conduct a thorough assessment to create a bespoke care package tailored to each of our client’s needs. This allows us to put together a professional team best suited to looking after the individual and their family. 

Each client is paired with an experienced mental health coach to facilitate their journey throughout the programme. This offers an additional layer of support to nurture individuals during personal development. Our coaches are committed to helping individuals clarify and define their goals, while implementing the structure and roadmap required to make them achievable.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY CARE

We will integrate an individual care plan with our specialised relational approach through a careful balance of group based seminars, educational sessions, individual and — when appropriate — family interventions. This programme will also be supported by multidisciplinary meetings and family liaison. Additional individual and family therapy for the patient and their families will be recommended if required.

Exercise and Somatic training will also be a regular part of the week. This is not only for the physical health benefits but because we believe exercise plays an important role in managing emotions. Our schedule offers a diverse range of group and individual exercises, including running, swimming, tennis, yoga, pilates, and more. We also pair each client with a personal trainer to ensure they are developing their overall wellbeing, and doing so at a pace that feels empowering for them.

EXPERT MENTORSHIP

Young adults will be mentored through a personal project of their choosing during their time at Spring.

We will do our best to help them bring the project to life, connecting individuals with our vast network of industry professionals to help inspire and carry them through every step of the way.

Our goal is for our clients to feel empowered to make the right choices and begin to reconnect to the parts of themselves that can experience curiosity and passion. 

FUTURE CENTRIC

As we focus not only on the symptoms but the underlying process of individuation, we have a strong emphasis on helping the young people we work with begin to think about seeking work experience or re-entering education.

We also work very closely with other bespoke services that mentor young people through the next stages of building their futures, whatever those steps might be. 

Our aim is to try and help young people feel a sense of hope in their futures. To provide an experience where individuals can feel belonging and safety, with enough support to be able to make changes about how they choose to live their lives.

WHO WE ARE FOR:

Spring is for young adults (18+) who are looking to make significant changes to how they feel about themselves and how they conduct their relationships. Our goal is to offer them guidance and help them feel enabled in the next stages of their adult life.
